President & CEO
As the eldest son in the family, Irman started his career very early by helping in his father’s business in Tanjung Pinang, Bintan Island. The business grew from a small retail shop to become a wholesaler and distribution agent.
In 1984, Irman ventured out to Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital city, as a Guinness stockist. 20 years later in 2004, Diageo entrusted Irman to be National Distributor of Guinness for Indonesia, which today has become the 5th largest market for Guinness globally. Since then, Irman also expanded the company extensively, moving forward from being just a distributor to manufacturer, importer, marketer and retailer of more than 100 premium brands from all over the world that commercially cover 59 cities in Indonesia.
With a clear and comprehensive vision for DIMA’s future, Irman’s wisdom and leadership has become the growth driver of the business, and will continue to propel DIMA to outstanding heights. Outside of the business, he was also appointed as President of Indonesia Teo Chew Association in 2016.
